Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were surprisingly spacious and had a beautiful view of the lake, making my stay very comfortable. The hotel was small but clean, giving it a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The location right on Lake Biwa between Kyoto and Fukui Prefecture was perfect for enjoying the serene surroundings and easy access to nearby attractions. The dining options were good and fitting for the price, providing a variety of choices for all tastes.
My stay was truly amazing with perfect views of Lake Biwa just 10m away from my window. The rooms were bright and incredibly clean, exceeding my expectations. The size of the room was generous by Japanese standards, and the double glazing ensured a peaceful environment. The only drawback was the smell of smoking in the corridor, which was a minor inconvenience.
The hotel's rooms, although small and with a cigarette smell, offer a grand view of the lake, especially during sunrise, making them feel spacious and luxurious. The location is amazing, right on the shores of Lake Biwa with a private beach, but the long walk to some rooms could be inconvenient. The dining options are overpriced with limited choices, but the homemade pies and jams are a delightful touch. The service is satisfactory, with friendly housekeeping and a nice welcome drink.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were surprisingly large, almost like a suite, yet offered at half the price compared to urban hotels. The wooden walls added a cute charm, and the view of the lake from the room was absolutely lovely. However, despite the great room size and views, it felt a bit cramped at times due to the small space and limited English communication with the staff.
I felt the hotel was a mixed bag with some positives like the idyllic rural setting and half-priced rooms but drawbacks such as the small size and cigarette smell. However, the huge glass panels added a unique touch to the ambiance.
